Maitri Multi-Media
Day Program
Maitri Multi-Media Day Program is designed to incorporate a variety of art forms, methods, and mediums to encourage increased communication, coping, and expression skills, to build independence and a sense of community through individualized and group creative projects within the program itself and within the community.
MUSIC
Maitri Multi Media incorporates a variety of musical tools, including digital audio workstations such as Ableton Live, an ever-growing sample library, and a collection of VSTs to help our participants bring their visions to reality. Through utilization of these tools, Maitri Multi-Media continues to give our participants an opportunity to enhance their quality of life, develop better ways to channel emotions, anxiety, and stress while providing a creative outlet.
ART
Focusing on art in many forms as a means of expression, creative release, and a stress reducer, Maitri Multi-Media provides participants with hands on experience with a variety of creative tools, both traditional and more modern, from painting, drawing, and photography, to photo manipulation, printing, and numerous other digital art mediums.
Gaming
In addition to art, music, and technology, Maitri Multi Media’s has also developed a unique focus on gaming, and gamification as a tool for teaching, healing, and community building. Whether it is role playing games, board games or card based game systems, or even a few retro video games participants of maitri multi media have countless opportunities to use character development , and world building to help them develop coping, communications and socialization skills. Maitri Multi Media's approach to gaming and gamification goes beyond just entertainment. By integrating game-based learning into their programs, staff and participants co-create engaging and interactive experiences that promote skill development and foster a sense of community. Whether it is through collaborative problem-solving in a tabletop game or immersive storytelling in a video game, Maitri Multi Media's gaming programs provide a safe and supportive environment for individuals to explore and grow.
Technology
Providing much of the backbone of the program, the use of a wide variety of technology and video will help to familiarize the participants with modern methods of film, music, and art production, as well as providing them with a chance to create individual and group projects that they can in turn share with the world, if they so desire.
Using video as a way of combining all of the other skills and facets of the program together, Maitri Multi-Media will focus on the many skills, techniques, and genres of filmmaking, while giving participants a chance to get behind the scenes, while working on a variety of projects.
