What is Supported Employment?

The Supported Employment Program at More Maitri helps individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and other barriers to employment discover their strengths, develop valuable skills, and achieve meaningful employment through individualized support and community partnerships.

We serve adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and individuals facing barriers to employment. Everyone deserves the opportunity to work, contribute, and belong.

Chyneyce is passionate about helping individuals discover their strengths and build meaningful careers. She believes employment creates opportunities for independence, confidence, and a deeper sense of belonging. Through individualized support, strong employer relationships, and community partnerships, she works to ensure that each participant receives the tools, encouragement, and accommodations needed to achieve long-term success.

 

With a person-centered approach, Chyneyce focuses on helping individuals identify their goals, develop valuable skills, and gain confidence in the workplace. She believes that meaningful employment is about more than earning a paycheck—it is about purpose, dignity, community inclusion, and creating opportunities to thrive.
